Bluetree Waterpark Phuket

There isn't a big water park in Phuket, only lots of little ones. But Pattaya has 3! Hua Hin has 2! So Phuket was long overdue for a major new waterpark. This is where Bluetree comes along, a large waterpark in the center of the island.

It's built around a large lagoon, with chillout areas all the way around, slides, a childrens water park area and bars and restaurant area.

They're having a soft-opening, so I was lucky enough to get a preview of what the park will look like. Only the lagoon and slides are open right now, there's a whole downtown area under construction that will be filled with shops and restaurants.

It's much bigger than I was expecting. There's enough there to spend the whole day playing, have an evening meal and head off after a full day of fun.

There are lifeguards everywhere! I can't leave my little toddler for an instant, she'll run off and play, but I felt a lot safer knowing there were so many lifeguards around.

The toilet block is all modern and professsionally equipped, life jackets and paddle boards, baby pools and play slides. So much of it is already finished. The rest is expected to be completed by year end (2019), but already there is plenty there to see.
