Laem Sak Temple

I've visited Laem Sak pier before, but not the temple. Well now they're building a huge white temple raised up high with a view across Phang Nga bay, and it should look amazing when it's finished.

Right now, it's a building site. They let me enter, but lots of the site was blocked off. There's a lot of rendering to do, and painting, but the basic framework is already there.

I found the builder on site, and he showed me their plans. Underneath, there is a rocky outcrop onto which they built the temple. They kept the rocks, and are going to have water flowing over the rocks to a pool below..

But the main feature of this temple is the views. Being high up, it gives a great view of the islands and sea.

I only stopped on my way to Laem Sak pier, I'm off on a boat trip to a fishing island, for a quick day trip. This is just a nice extra find.
