Vegan Lebanese Restaurant, in Phuket

I've found an excellent, authentic Lebanese restaurant in Phuket! It's over by the Laguna complex, near Boat Avenue, in the west side of the island at . Levantine at Cherng Talay.

Lebanese food is a mixture of meat and vegan dishes. You can eat proper vegan dishes, alongside your meat eating friends and both of you can enjoy one cuisine that covers both extremes: Lebanese. I really don't like fake meat dishes passed off as Vegan. Lots of cuisines contain no-meat dishes, handed down over generations, so why try to copy a meat dish and make it vegan??!

Art, whose other restaurant is my go-to pizza restaurant for Naithon beach, and her Egyptian husband have hired experienced chefs, and opened a more upscale restaurant this time.

As you'd expect from seasoned professional restaurateurs, the food is high quality, faultless and fresh, cooked over charcoal grills, and served in clean stylish surroundings by friendly staff.

We had a small birthday party there, and chatted to Art, the owner about the menu.

There are some minor tweaks to be made yet, they're working on an East-Mediterranean dessert menu, and there are some acoustics to be fixed. They plan on putting up more artwork on canvas which should deaden the echo. But what they have is already excellent.
